I know that is not really a profound statement, but I just had my 60,000 mile service done and the car runs like a champ. I also had the water pump (impeller melted off), radiator work done, transmission overhaul, tie-rod boot ends, brakes and various other maintenance done to the tune of $3000 ($1600 was covered on my extended warranty) and the 1998 virtually mint condition A6 runs like a champ!!!!!!!!

The car purrs like a kitten, nice and quiet and I am just very pleased!

I guess my point is, do not skimp. These are high performance vehicles. Get the recommended maintenance done!

 

Very true, many people disreguard the maintenace on their vehicals.

 

ya my car got my maintenance done at 60k. next one i have is 108K which is run about $1000 the dealer said (ouch)

 

60-108 thats too long maybe are u talking about major services ?
