Default How to manually reset sunroof

Left lights on and battery died. I jumped started my 96 A6 Quattro and the sunroof opend, windows and doorlocks stoped working. I put key in door, locked and unlocked it, that fixed windows and door locks but sunroof all goofy and won't close. I manully closed it and unpluged the switch (just incase). Is that enough, will it work right if I hook the switch back up (with switch in close position). Im afaid to try it as the sunroof manual crank is about to strip out (not sure if I will be able to close it again) and that would be very bad.

Thank you,
Don

The switch is not a button rather a pot.. So with that you mean turn the pot. all the way to open then close, starting in the close position...
One more thing, I just noticed my radio will not power on at all, fuse is good. I have the code but cant get the radio on to enter it. 96 A6 Quattro with Bose system.

Thanks again,
Don

You need to change the potentiometer, or the **** you see on the roof. Its a common replace item and can make the sun-roof act wacky.
