How many cats?

Was wondering the setup for my 2001 Audi A6 4.2. Does it have 4 catalytic converters?

It's common to have (i think) pre-cats in the downpipes, and the 2 main cats in the center.

Only two cats on all V engines in the audi line up to the 05 year. Going beyond into the new S6 with the lambroghini V-10 in it has more than 2 cats.
