Guys, I need help in choosing a fast and used sport/luxury sedan. I want a tiptronic/sportshift/automanual transmission, a used car in great condition under 75k miles, and hopefully under $17,000.00. I have narrowed it down to three cars:

2002 Acura TL Type S
2000 Audi S4
2000 Audi A6 2.7T

Which out of these three do you guys think will best suit me and why? (Note: I know the S4 isn't much of a luxury car but i am willing to sacrifice luxury for a little more sport and performance if needed =] ) I woud love to hear you guys's inputs, as I'm not too much of a car expert!

I don't know if you can get either Audi for that price - not "in great condition".

The two Audis you mention are identical except the A6 will have a tad more luxury and definitely more space. Yes, the A6 will be a bit heavier, but the 2.7t engine will shove the car very well anyway. The S4 will carry 4 people, but not comfortably on a long trip, whereas the A6 will. So... if you were to find those two cars in exactly the same condition for the same price, the A6 is a better deal.

 

Japanese are much better than european cars. Go for acura. Audi's are pain in the neck plus cost a lotfor repairs which can only be done at dealership as very few mechanics know how to work on them....

 

[sm=badbadbad.gif] QUATTRO !!!!!!!! siddiqui2000 is right, Audi's are a lot more expensive to maintain. And Acura's are cheaper.... for me it's all about the Quattro, saves me every winter!

 

the CL's are nice, but in 2001 the tranny had major issues, kept goin on pplz, not sure if they addressed it in 2002, but i hope they did, s4 would be a nice choice, if your a smaller person that doesnt mind fitting into it and also if ur insurance isnt thru the roof. i consider those 3 cars, and a few others like a bmw 540i 6 spd, and also the 2004 maxima 6 spd. i went with the a6, insurance was cheap, it was really big, and has the same engine as the s4, highly moddable
