According to the scanner, I had a misfire in cylinder #2. Which one is number 2? I am pretty sure it is one of the coil. My car was shaking bad when it was idling with CEL blinking. It is a 2002 A6 Avant 3.0.

yes, its most likly its the coil
but check the sparkplugs too
i had that problem

 

looking from the front of the engine left side is 1 2 3 right side is 4 5 6,

1 and 4 are near the front of the engine near the radiator.
