Default ignition switch replacement - same for c5 as c4?

I have an ignition switch to replace the one in my '98 A6 - is the procedure the same as the C4 A6?

Good God...what a fuhrfugged job on a C4 ...
It took me a whole hour to connect back the plug....and I have smaller hands than most...
I will not bitch about newer models with the tumbler in a more accesible spot, but for this 1995 is another perfect example about how "brilliantly" these things were engineered. You have hardly no room to unplug the power connector, let alone connecting it back on, in a virtually blind spot covered by the hand(s).
