Talking Little Digs That go

Start calling him at work. Have lots of people call him at work. Have the police go to his work and ask to speak to him.

A 3 month update:

Not even a penny from the little twerp. He isn't man enough to answer his phone and discuss things man to man, he's even decided to ignore my emails.

I have been extremely patient with him, giving him a chance to make it good without having to lump court fees, service fees and possibly attorney fees on top. But, I guess he wants to be a garnishee with bad credit so here goes: tomorrow I send the form and check to the clerk at the FDL county court so justice can be served.

Here he is being all sincere back in Feb:

yea i am very serious about paying you back and i need to do it in payments i hope this can work out im willing to give it back to you because i know what i did was severly wrong and i need to do this for myself and you. i owe you a thousand apologies for everything and hope we can get this sorted out...

Brings tears to my eyes! He promised his friend (the guy whose ID he used for PayPal) that he would make it all good, but I guess he's not selective when it comes to lying to friends or strangers.

Please join me and treat this guy with contempt if he shows up on this or any other board - we don't need to associate with guys like him.

Loach,

"I have been extremely patient with him."

You've been a jerk, and don't give me the **** you gave the other guy, about how hard you've had it.

Instead of posing continuously, here, about how bad you've been treated, and I don't care if it was a nickle or ten grand, you got screwed, you should have started legal action to get your money back, THEN, not now, 3 months later.

You ain't gettin' your money back till you go to the PO or the police or anyone else who has authority.

If I were in your situation, not with the car thing, but your finances and your education situation, I would think you should think less about "pimping up your ride". You got a car that is running. An expensive to keep up car. I'd have kept that money to fix the next thing that breaks rather than spend it on nice, shiny wheels.

That 250 could have gone to a TB replacement, if it's close to due. Car won't be too impressive sitting with a broken motor and nice shiny wheels on it.

If the guy is broke, you might win and get 10 bucks a week for the next 6 months to make you whole. Get your money if you can. Forget the wheels. Drive on stocks.

Cheers,

George

First of all, you talk a lot of **** for a guy that HASN'T been ripped off. What you would spend the money on is completely irrelevant to the matter at hand. The point is that we decided to spend this money on modifications to our cars from someone who seemed like a respectable and legit member of this community, and got ripped off. Simple as that. I've already had my TB replacement done 10k miles ago. Don't know about you, but I'm up on all my maintenance. The point is that we want our money back. The reason we haven't pursued legal action is because it's pretty difficult to be in court in Wisconsin when you're a high school student in Jersey City, NJ or live and work in North Carolina, ********. I don't care if the guy pays me back $5 a month in quarters, the point is that he loses and I get back what is rightfully mine. It's principle. As for taking action, now is when I can. I'll be on spring break next week and I'll gladly take the drive to go to court and/or see the man personally. By the way, the man isn't broke. He goes to school and works, both of which we know exactly where. Just because we've given the man opportunities doesn't mean we haven't done our homework. It's just easier that way. Learn not to butt into matters where your unhelpful remarks are not needed.

Have the police go to his work and ask to speak to him.
In fact, have his primary contact listed as his place of woork. The sherrif will have to go there to serve him. Of course, his boss will then be notified.

Way to go George! You seem like a great guy! Love to drink a beer with you one day. Thanks for doing your best to string together a response that completely misses the point and makes you look like a retard. I used to say I wouldn't wish getting ripped off on anyone, but perhaps some could learn valuable lessons from it and pipe down a little.
