info location
I've had my a6 for about a month, and i love it, but i cant find anywhere on my car if it tells me if i have the 140 or 200 watt sound system. The both have subs, and i bought the car from a small dealership, not direct from audi, so i didnt get a detailed sheet of what was all in the car. Is there any place in the manula i should look, or is there anything on my car that will tell me?

You can tell by the Deck/Unit. As I recall, there is the 'Concert Sound' is 140Watts and the 'Symphony Sound' is 200Watts.
Symphony is the premuim sound package, Bose, 200 Watts, 8 speakers, Subwoofer. Indash CD, CD Changer, Tape... Its a kick azz stereo.
Of all the things that I though I would be impressed by, the Bose system with the dirvers display and steering wheel control is the most impressive. Now ask me when the snow flies and the Quattro is needed.

haha dee dee dee, i should of thought of that, right on the casette it says symphony, and the dealer informed me that it was the 200 watt system. Thanks, btw, the cd changer was a seperate accessory, the upgraded 200 watt sound system did not include the 6disk cd changer

The cabling for the changer is likely there. Go for a Phat Box / Phat Noise system. Direct integration to the deck, all displays work, and then you get 10/20/40 MB removable cartridges for your MP3's. I think there is a way to add voice control to, but not sure how that all works. I am thinking of doing it, but don't spend enough time in the car to really make use of it.
