Default Info on wheels please

Hey Audi owners. I just purchased a 2000 Audi A6 2.7T and was wondering if there is any information in this forum about wheel sizes and offsets and width that will fit on my car. I need to know this info because I need to clear the HUGE front brake calipers. Is it possible to put a staggered wheel setup on this AWD car? I was thinking 18x8 front and 18x9 rear, I want a deep look. thanks for your help.

You will be told that 18's are the biggest wheel to go with and for the most part they are right. I have 19 X 8.5, 35MM offset. They fit the A6 and I like the look but you have to be extra careful on the road. I have to go around some of those nice size potholes if you know what I mean. Plus larger wheels means more expensive rubber. The added weight will also take away some of your performance. I have the larger calipers too and my ADR's do clear them.

I would stay clear of the staggered wheel setup specifically because the car is all wheel drive! Some other folks have mentioned this before as well!

Good Luck and hope this helps!

thanks. ya thats helps a lot. I can narrow my search to 18x8.5 with a 35mm offset. I would like to get some performance wheels(lightweight or forged), any suggestions?? Any brand names I should look for?
