Purchased a 97 A6. Now want to install CD changer in trunk. Found used OEM changer, but cannot find the 8 pin plug/cable to hook into. I have been all through the trunk and I recognize nothing that looks plug and play. Any ideas? Thanks.

 

If the 97 is like the 99 the plug is in the storage compartment for the jack, on the left side of the trunk

 

Thanks for the response. The 97 doesn't have a jack compartment so much as a spare wheel compartment where the jack is stored. After more investigation I did find a connector that looks similar to the multi-pin cable found on my computer's printer and not an 8 pin like I had thought I would find. I'm a bit confused about the type of cd player I should be now looking for. Back to the research desk.
