interior trim change?

Default interior trim change?

im kinda wondering if anyone has done anything to there interior wood trim? i have a 99 2.8Q with the all black and dark wood trim, i was wondering if anyones changed there trim, such as painting it, i was thinking of doing a light silver and cliear coat, anyone think this is a good idea? and also was thinking of doing the shifter base thats currently chrome a flat black with a light clear coat, opinions and pics if anyones done this sorta thing would be great! thansk.

If you don't like the wood trim, you should definitely paint it.
More likely you'll have to sand pretty good the surface prior to applying the primer.
Is it doable? It surely is.
Would it be more appealing? Appeal is in the eye of the beholder.
Probably a light silver (or even a darker silver - taking into account the black dash/rest of the trim ) clear-coated (or even epoxied) will look more attractive from a sporty, more fresh, more youthful look comparative with the burgeois-like wood trim.
Go for it and maybe you do a writeup for other to follow suit.
