Default Leak Problems any help??

well i just found this out..i noticed that the car i bought last week which is a 98 audi a6 2.8, keeps telling me i am low on window washing fluid meanwhile i put in a whole gallon. i heard it leaking and noticed that the leak is coming from the washing fluid container. i am wondering where can i order a new container and is it hard to remove the old one and install the new one? i am no mechanic but eager to learn

Try a search on washer reservoir, there should be a replacement guide. But, roughly, remove the inner fender liner and remove the washer reservoir. Small hands help!

Good luck,

Bob

Mine has been a bear since repairing the ABS module as I had to drop the reservoir to make room. I know for a fact that my gasket is not on properly. You may just need a new gasket or gasket seal as opposed to a new reservoir tank.

The first thing you'll need is a decent jack. The stock Audi one is a POS. Advanced Auto Parts has some for about $40 or so. As mentioned above you'll need to remove the wheel and inner fender liner. I would try to replace the grommets first to see if that's the problem. The total set is about $6 or so. You may also want to get plenty of silicone sealant as a cheap repair.

Good luck,

Mike

seems a bit complicated to remove the fender wheels and etc when i dont know what am doing.
