1997 Green A6 Quattro with 165,xxx. Just got it this week! Any tips for a new owner? Engine lights on, believe it's the EGR. Worth the replacement? Also the "PRDNL" light on the dash doesn't work.... and my sunroof won't close properly.

 

Seems like the 2.7 turbo is one if the best motors made. At least from the members postings about huge miles on these cars. Good to hear. Hope my 3.2 lasts as long as some if these. Keep ur oil clean! Especially on the DI engines!

 

2003 A6 - 216,000 miles…

 

'01 A6.....156,000 and going strong!

 

156K plus on a 2003 3.0 A6, and shopping for some new Michelins or Continentals to start the new year.

 

2001 B5S4 with basically the same engine as the B5A6(2.7T).. I am at 148,000+ about to do my timing belt and a ton of other stuff. She runs just fine, I just like to keep her up to date. For instance my thermostat is still functioning properly(87 degrees F) but I'm putting a new one in anyway. Always signature series amsoil 100% pure synthetic. I will need new brakes in the spring as well. Basically general maintenance...Knock on wood!

Researched these, got them, and am very happy. Best snow/ice tracking I've experienced short of only Blizzaks. Thanks from a fellow Michigander.

 

158,000 miles and runs great. Due for 2nd timing belt. I'll probably keep it till it dies.
