Default Location of PCV?

I pulled the top engine cover tolook forthe PCV valve. I need to replace it, after looking on several online part suppliers, none listed a replacement PCV valve for this model year 1997 A6 Quattro 2.8. There were PCV valves available for later model Audi, but for my Audi none! Is there a PCV, or puck valve, available for my A6? And where is it located on the engine?

A 97 has a 12V correct? Than no you don't have a PCV valve, what are you changing it for oil consumption?

Ya! You and one other here suggested that such a valve PCVwould likely be clogged, thus increasing oil consumtion and to change it out. So I guess I'm back to the same question about oil consumption, and yes is beleive it is a 12V 2.8. On another forum, someone answered a similar question for someone with a 1996 A6 with same 2.8 and mentioned doing the same. Also, another Auditech mentioned that 1 litre oil to 1000m oil consumtion was Audi's spec and was normal!
