Looking at a 1999 A6 what to expect?
Well I'm looking at a 1999 A6 w/ 99,384 miles. I was wondering what can I expect with the car.
I recently had a '95 A6 untill I totaled it
. So I'm guessing that I can expect a somewhat choppy trans and that it's somewhat under powered.
Anything else to look for?
Are there any relativly inexpensive mods I could perform down the road for a little more pep?

My '99 quattro is quicker than the '95 2wd I owned, but probably only because it's a better breather. There are few mods available for the stock 30-valve, although a $5K supercharger is available from PES. My advice is to try a 2.7T version before you buy. The 2.7 is strong stock and bumping the HP to 300 isn't all that difficult.
