I love the look of the Audi and have thought about owning one. I have found a model in great condition with 59K miles. If purchased, this car would be a weekend road car, occasional vacation car, and long trip car - not so much a daily driver. I am asking for your experiences with the 2009 A6. What are the car's strengths? weaknesses? Are there areas for concern regarding reliability or longevity? This car has the black exterior and tutone black and tan leather interior. Your thoughts? Thanks for your help!

 

My daughter has put almost 50k miles on her 2004 A4 3.0 (now at 118k) and it has been a fine little car. The engine is strong enough to cruise the car without effort and gets decent gas mileage. I realize the A4 is ~500+ lbs lighter than the A6. I believe even the newer 3.0s need the TB work done around 75-80K so be prepared.


I can say that my A6 was always used for long trips and as a winter driver, and it was phenomenal. Just getting a little tired at 231k miles.
