Hi Audi Fans,

I bought the IN-PRO version C5 (A6 2.7t U.S. Version) CHROME Mirror covers for my Audi. I thought it will look like the one in the RS6 Brushed aluminum but it is pure chrome. I didn't like that because, it's looks pure Chrome and not like the BRUSHED Aluminum (Matt Chrome).

I checked with the dealer for RS6 mirrors but it was more than $600.00.

Is anybody have any suggestions on getting a RS6 Aluminum (Pure Aluminum) mirrors.

I'm in the same boat as you. I want the same mirrors. If you find them will you PM me and let me know where? You could always take them off and brush them yourself. Would take some time but it's doable. Just use different grit sand paper for each stage and slowly get them to the brushed look. Just an idea??

 

I thought In Pro had brushed Aluminum also. I think I saw them on Ebay believe it or not!

 

Hey can you guys let me know where you got your RS6 body kit. i want to get it for my 2001 2.7T but dont know where to start. any ideas would be great. thanks.

 

This is the only RS6 kit I know of...it's for 2001 models. For '02+ click the yellow A6 on the page.

 

I have a set of polished (not brushed) S4/S6/S8 OEM mirrors (caps only). These are the OEM versions...and not cheapo plastic versions. The passenger side has some small scrapes in it....but the drivers' side is perfect. I will probably just put them up on ebay. I only want to get $175+ shipping for them. Drop me an email if you are interested. I'll need to take some pix this week.

Thanks for the input. I will let you guys know if I can find any solutions for it. I am planned to bring the CHROME mirror caps to a paint shop and may be they will brush it and paint with brushed aluminum. These mirror caps a made of ABS plastic. I guess that will hold the paint for few years.

Any Thoughts.
