Low oil pressure warning + P1522 code: where to look first PLEASE!
Hi there -
I drove roughly 2000km so far since the day I bought the car (99 2.8Q). Yesterday the low oil pressure light came on for a few seconds while driving up a hill, that was the first time that happened. I drove 700kms yesterday alone ( Quebec - Montreal back and forth ) and not a single problem except this. I stopped immediately, checked the oil on flat level, and the oil is as high as it can be.
There is alsoa P1522 code that might indicate insufficient pressure to the engine head. However, could it only be a faulty sensor ? Is is that very sensor that is responsible for sending the warning?
How do I determine if the sensor is bad or clogged up? If not, what are simple signs that there is not enough oil flowing to the top of the engine?
Thanks a LOT for your help!!!!
