MIL lamp is on. I jumped another car battery earlier today. Did I do any damage or drain battery.


Will MIL go off?

What should I expect?

If you followed the usual precautions with jumping the cars, then no, I really doubt you did any damage.

When you jumped the other car, did you have your car running?

The MIL went off last evening.

The engine was running when I attached the cables. As far as precautions go, it was "old school"...cables to both terminals, my car first. Engine idle down a little, other car started in short time, then disconnected cables.

Any more thoughts?
