I have a 2007 A6 3.2 quattro with 121,000 on it. No problems but it does use a pint of oil at 3,000 miles. I change at 5,000.

 

Congrats. My 2003 A6 uses no oil between 8k oil changes. Unfortunately, my newer A4 used a quart every 1200-1500 miles.

 

I just exchanged my 2007 A6, odo at 206,300 for a gorgeous 2012 A6. It was eating oil too towards the end. But she served me well, we clocked a lot of road time together.
That oil consumption rate was about what I was seeing on mine as well.
