Hey everyone just started doing the timing belt change on my 2000 A6 2.7t and noticed 2 interesting things that I think you can all help me answer.

First 2 pictures are taken on the drivers side.
Seems like there should be a bolt or something running through the circled holes. Am i missing pieces or is this normal?

3rd picture is taken on the passenger side. Same issue here.

4th picture is on the drivers side. It seems like that blue container is connected to the vacuum hose but I'm not too sure what it is or does.
