Default My A6 headlights are getting frosted

I have a '98 A6 with the Zeon headlights. Both lens' are getting frosted and when it rains there is condensation that collects inside the shell. Dealer wants $800 per for new assembly. Any suggestions, help?

TIA

I had the same problem...Is the haziness on the outside of the lens? If so, some light rubbing compound or some wet sanding is in order. This is tediuos and takes a lot of care but there is many write-ups here in AF and at www.audiworld.com The condensation is due to poor seals around the headlights. There is a rubber seal that surrounds the headlight fixture. I was pressure washing my car and got to close to this seal and blew a corner out. I started to get condensation. I simply replaced the seal. Check with your dealer on the part if they have it. LOL..knowing the dealers they will try to sell you a new headlight. Let us know how it goes.

i was reading in my manual and it said that getting condensation inside is normal. just thought i'd throw that on here. i wouldnt worry about it much unless u end up with a fishtank or parts rusting inside
