ABS module replaced by dealer or local shop with new part - $1400 to $1600. ABS module repaired by www.modulemaster.com- $200 + postage both ways and an hour or so of your time, or somebody else's, removing and replacing the module. I used this service for my wife's 98 A6 Quattro 2.8 ABS module repair and they are great. Also, see other posts on this subject. There are quite a few since it is a common problem.
