My budget plans...
In a few weeks I am going to put my Audi A6 3.0 in the shop. I have budgeted for the repairs, based on the below budget are these realistic expectations of costs? Oh also I live in the Southeastern part of the U.S and will use an independent mechanic instead of a dealer.
• Power Steering Pump ($500)
• CV Boots ($600)
• Motor Mount (replace snub and check/possibly replace motor mounts ($400)
• Two front Tires ($175)
• Coolant Temp signal problem -suspect it's a bad sensor- ($200) Either
• Check for Possible vacuum leak repair if needed ($150)
• Change Fuel Filter ($100)
• Oil Change ($50)
• Air Filter Change ($50)
TOTAL = $2225
Is this realistic?

prices look realistic except for the coolant temp sensor. They will probably charge a half hour for that and the part itself is like $20. Where in the SE are you, I have a great Audi/VW mechanic in the Triad in NC that is very reasonable and will beat all of those prices I am sure.

But if anyone can recommend a good reasonable mechanic in the central Alabama area I would GREATLY appreciate it.
