Default My mecanic got me confused and doubtful

I recently got my CV joints and front struts replaced on my A6 2.8L 30V and for my surprise I was driving and the inner joint got loose and my car did a not too beautiful sound, I had to tow it back home. Next day my mecanic gave a look at it to figure out what might be the situation that drove the inner joint to get loose while driving, To my surprise my engine mounts are screwed up and they need to be replaced, My mecanic told me that engine vibration was the main cause for this to happen. Its it true???, My control arm kit is faulty also, is the engine mounts the main subject for this to happen?? or is it the control arm kit?? thanks

Rene.

Did the shaft come loose from the trans or did the inner just go bad? Inners almost never go bad. Even with bad links and mounts.

I doubt the motor-mounts caused this. Never heard of a motor-mount going bad before! I would guess the shaft came out and vibrated the mounts and slapped the control arms to death. To coincidental it happened after picking up from shaft repair. Sounds like the mechanic didn't get something right upon assembly of the shafts. That is just my two cents.
