Morning all.

I saw/drove a nice 03 A6 yesterday and i am about to make a deal but wanted your opinions first.

The car is in great shape in and out with some minor blemishes but low miles (31K) and a bumper to bumper warranty covered by Mercury till august 2012 or 60K

the dealer is requesting $14,500

What do you guys think?

Even for santa monica thats overpriced by a few grand. If you like the car haggle him down to at least 12 grand. I personally wouldn't pay more than 10 grand for a 3.0L A6.
Be aware that the timing belt and water pump needs to be done every 80k and can cost you 2-3 grand to change out, being in so cal you can expect to pay the latter, or even more.
