I am in need of replacing my timing belt. Does anyone know where I can buy the tools, or even better if I can rent them for a few hours and up to a day.

I stay in Dallas, TX and I am in need of these tools asap. If anyone would like to rent them to me for a few hours I am willing to pay for your tools and time.

Please PM me or post in here if you are willing to rent the tools to me, or better yet come to my house and replace the timing belt for me. Let me know what you charge.

What motor and year?

If the belt is already broken you'll need to more than replace it. Unless you real lucky your into pulling the head and replacing valves.

Unsually the TB project includes water pump, idlers, seals etc.

 

It is a 2002 3.0 V6, and the belt is still on there.

 

You're going to need the tools a lot longer than one day. I ordered them from blauparts online.

 

I have an 3.0 nearing 75k. Is there anything to listen for to tell how dire the tb replacement is?
I'd like to see 80k but the cost for pushing my luck here may be too high...
