the growling noise is normal as my 2000 does the samething. and the oem rs spoiler seems to be the best choices i have seen. i had a jeep 4x4 last winter for the snow but this thing is a dream in the snow i love it. cant wait for spring to unleash my audi. just wish i would of done some research on the different options (sport model) sounds nice.

Well I have a good relationship with the parts manager at the dealership with all the porsche parts purchases over the years, so will make sure I get the real deal! Thanks for the heads up.

Indya - thanks for confirming the noise. Figured it was not a big deal.

Welcome. Great ride made even greater with the six-speed. A few thoughts for you...

Learn the rules of good turbo ownership (keep it below 3k RPM until the oil temp gets above 175 when starting and be gentle the last few miles on the way home before shutting her down -- no need to sit in driveway idling, just gentle warm up and cool downs).

Winter in Minnesota means that oil temp doesn't reach 175 until after 15 minutes on the highway. I guess I'm screwed, because no way canI wait that long before breaking 3000. However, the CPO warranty goes for 100K miles, so I'm not too worried (yet).

Cool, another new owner in DC, I just purchased an A6 4.2L very happy so far. From what stearlership did you purchase. I had an interesting time at HBL, but it actually worked out quite well.
By the way anybody have any suggestions for iPod integration other than the ol FM transmitter. option.
Thanks

I purchased from HBL as well... So far so good - they do final prep work on the car this week for me. We shall see how they clean up the minor items I required they address! Any details on your interesting experience?
