Hello All. I'm new to Audi Forums. I just purchased my 1st Audi. Its a 1998 A6 Quattro, with 106K miles, see attachments. The car in in excellent shape inside and out. It has all of the bells and whistles for that year, and drives great thus far.

I've put appox 200 mls on the car since I bought it, and today I spent several hours detailing it in and out. When I started it back up afterwards, the Airbag light illuminated, and did not go out. I've read several posts about the connectors under the seat being problematic, and since I do not have a Bentley Shop manual as of yet, I was wondering if someone could point out the location of the Airbag sensor, and the process of cleaning the connector. I would be very much appreciative.

Hiya Mallet.. First off welcome to the forum!!! You wont be dissappointed with your purchase.. especially if you live in an area with harsh winters, The quattro will proove its worthiness. Second off, I would highly recommend getting the VAG-COM I am sure you are aware of what this is (If not just ask we will let ya know).. It will be able to tell you whats going on with your Airbag Light fault code. Best of luck to you!!!
