Default Alot of water under car??

hey guys, last week i got my first Audi , its a 04 a6 s-line black with the rare ebony/tan combo interior. in pretty good shape. only 2 things are bothering me, i need to reattach the rear view mirror, but cannot get it to stick with the adhesive kit that i got from autozone, the mirror is just too heavy and no matter how long i hold it, it comes right off like it didnt apply at all ! also, the spots im parking im noticing oil drips about the size of a pop can bottom, not much oil but enough to bother me, ideas ?

As far as the mirror you will have to remove the metal thingy on the mirror & glue it without the weight of the mirror & let it sit overnite before installing the mirror. Make sure you install it correctly.
The oil leak could be anything. Clean off the oily residue & see if you can tell where it is coming from. I use oil dye & ultra-violet light which works well.

That's a lot of oil. Do you have the plastic belly pan under the engine. If so, you may want to remove it and place newspaper under the engine to determine where the oil is dripping down. General suspects are the valve cover gaskets. No ideas for the mirror. You may want to call a dealer for advice or take it to a windshield shop and pay a few bucks.

First off, welcome! These cars leak oil especially if it is a 2.7t. More detail needs to be given though before I could tell you how to fix it. Check your oil pan and valve cover gaskets first since they are easy to see.

These cars leak oil from just about everywhere.

Common places oil leaks from are:
cam adjuster seals
valve covers
cam plugs
oil pan
rear main seals (not too common)

It costs about 800 to plug up the valve covers and cam adjusters and oil pan should be around 200. i wouldnt worry too much about the other places i pointed out unless the mechanic spots more leaks.

If it was really humid today where you are it's possible to get a lot of condensation from the A/C, and all the fluids in the engine should smell strongly, but I'd definitely check the coolant to make sure the level isn't dropping, and to make sure it isn't just filled with water, and that's what you were seeing.
