Default no heat

well it seems that my driverside heated seat went out last night. anyone know how hard or how much it is to fix?

anyone?? i have a 2001 a6. Just wondering how much it would cost to fix or how hard it is to fix.

If it is only the drivers side I would suspect one of the flapper doors or actuators --

But It could be a bunch of other things - Just saying that the heat dosen't work on one side gives us little to go on.

not sure what else to say all the heated seats worked fine then one day the driver seat went out. all other seats still work fine

Sorry I missed the SEAT part.

1. check the fuse
2. try the switch in a few different positions. Move it around a bit
3. check for power at the connector under the seat
4. check for continuity in the element.
5. check for continuity while sitting in the seat

there is a 67.778% chance the problem is a broken element -lack of continuity.Repairing it is not too hard. It is not a greassy job but can be a pain in the buttand will take awhile.
(choice is a warm buttwith pain or a cold butt)

Do a google search on repairing heated seats or check the following to see if they tell you how to repair a heated seat.
