I had the same exact noise and it was my secondary cooling fan. The noise came on only when I had the heater on, and it made a pretty intense grumbling squeaking noise. To check that it is the secondary cooling fan, turn the heater on and look inside your hood to the left of the main cooling fan. If the fan on the left (which is usually smaller than the main fan) is wobbling and noisy, the bearing is probably bad. The best price I found was $70 on ebay new. Hope this helps.

 

i had two issues one it was one of the fans on front of the radiator, i bought one and removed that bad one and spliced in the new one and the second one was the one in the dash i had to replace

 

I seems to have similar issue. My fan makes this annoying noise only when it is on low speed. If I increase fan speed to about 5-6 bars then it goes away. Do you goes think I can fix it by following step in that link that was mentioned.

Great how-to on dropping the glove box. What's the trick for getting the harness connector loose so I can access the motor? Seems like I'm missing something simple
