Coolant temp slightly over half when heater was turned

It's for 96 Audi a4 b5 2.8 quattro

just figuring out why it went one line pass the middle. i checked the collant level it was about right.

Have you checked the strength of the coolant? It's possible that ratio of coolant to water is too low.

no i havent yet...i use the green stuff 50/50 apparently its ok to use that coolant for a 1996 audi a4 2.8 quattro. =(
