Default Not sure what its called

I need to know what this thing is called. It is located above the wheel on each wheel like a control arm, but also it has like 2 ball joint kind of things attached to it, not sure anyone will understand what i mean, i been trying to find it but i cant, its also has bushings on it like tension rod but its like above the wheels and below the hood, the car is like making this bump sound everytime you go over any bump on the road and someone checked and said my car has 8 and 5 of them need to be replaced and its not safe to drive if they are not replaced and its worst on the front two.

They are called control arms and you can get them in sets from places like Blauparts etc. It can be a DIY if you know what your doing but you'll need to take the vehicle to someone to get it re-aligned cause it takes special eqipment.

I suspect your not familure with working on cars (thus have had no experience with Audis) so i recomend that you find a good Audi repair facility - called an Indy for independant faciklity - not a dealer - for the best price. I usually get my parts from Force Five in Concord NH... I think the last front end set I got for a guy cost around $900 -- The dealer price for parts was close to $2,000.
