Have generally used synthetic 5w30 weight oil for my vehicles here in ND without any problems in the winter. Was wondering if I should be using 0W30 or 0W40 for my 1997 A6 Avant Quattro this winter. This is the first winter I have owned this car. Any thoughts?

mobile one 0W-40 will do fine.
