Oil Filter

Oil Filter
Stupid question - Which way do you turn oil filter to remove it? I thought it was lefty loosey and righty tighty. Should I be using a wrench ? or can I remove with my hand? I changed my oil and left the old filter on because I couldnt remove it. The oil was dark when i changed it but it had a brownish tint. I'm using full synthetic but should i change immediately and get rid of this filter? Can I go a few miles without a change?

RE: Oil Filter
Yea, it's right hand threads, you should be able to remove it by hand. If it's stuck on there, put a screw driver threw it & turn.
You should change the oil again, when you put on a new filter. Changing the oil, with out the filter is a wast of good oil.
