Default Oil Sludge/Timing Belt

I was wondering if 2002 2.7t a6's have the dreaded oil sludge problem. Also, my car is at 58,700 miles and i know youre not supposed to do the TB replacement until 70 but i heard that the timing belt in these cars can snap going down the road just from being 6 years old? Anyone heard of this?

never heard of many sludging problems but timing belt isnt necessary until 70+k ... if you have the money to get it done then i guess do it but ur 99.99% ok at under 60k unless you have been beating the car since it was born

looking at about $1200 to do the TB and water pump. The pump also goes bad causing leaky fluid. Its just another thing to do. I would recomend getting them both done, but if the pump is ok then I guess you could wait.
