Default oxygen sensor + oil leak

I have a 2000 a6 2.7t 6spd and am trying to change bank 2 sensor 1. How am i supposed to get this thing out? i removed the coolant resevoir . Do i have to take off the heat shield too? seems almost impossible to get to. Also my car has a lot of oil under it caked up. There is oil on the bottom pipes of both turbos and in the front all by the oil filter and intercooler piping to the right. Any ideas? hopefully not signs of the turbos going

Sounds like either a cam seal leak or a valve cover gasket leak. I've had both at one point. But i do need to change out my Bank 2 Sensor 1 as well. I did the other side, which was a breeze, but this one looks a little baffeling. If you figure out the best way to go about reaching it, let me know.

you say you've had both cam seal and valve cover gasket leaking.. Did you fix those yourself or did a shop have to do it. It seems pretty labor intensive. If you did it let me know how so i can try also. Also i will let you know when i do the sensor so you know the easiest way. Another thing i need to do in the future is egt sensors... any experience with those?

the valve cover gasket is not difficult if you have a basic set of tools. Its such a common leak that there are plenty of DIYs out there.
