Default Parking On Hill - Transmission Clunks

My car is an Audi A6 2003 Quattro 2.7T. I parked my car in my driveway (with the front of the car at the heigher point of the driveway). My driveway has a slight incline (less than 1% grade). When I put the car into 'Park' postion, I let off the brake and the car rolled back slightly. When the car rolled back, I heard a 'clunk' from the transmission. After the clunk, the car didn't roll any further. Besides this clunk, the car has performed well.

What was this 'clunk'? Is there some type of transmission break in Audi? Have others experienced this issue?

Thanks.

Steve

Default RE: Parking On Hill - Transmission Clunks

its normal nothing to worry about but you are supposed to put the parking break on regardless if its an automatic that's stops the clunk
