Default PICS of my clear indicator bulbs...before and after

Hi all,

Just thought I'd post before and after pictures of myamber/chrome bulbs- I said I'd do this after upgrading my rear clusters to LEDs:

Sorryfor the quality ofpictures- but it does make a lot of difference to the whole look of the car!

I bought them off eBay UK:

You can also get the same type ofbulbs for the side repeaters- good if you have the 'crystal' siderepeater lenses.

It's less expensive to just remove the amber reflector inside the headlight than it is to buy a new set. It took me 3 hours to remove mine but it was worth it cause it looks the same as the aftermarket headlights. Just a thought if you didn't want to cough out that much money.

I think you are talking about the older styleheadlamps? My ones didn't have any amber reflectors- the only thing amber about it were the bulbs- a cheap 'fix' at £4.00 GBP / 8 dollars US and a5 min job. I guess your solution is good for those with the amber reflectors.

I've seen a set of angel lights for the A6 on ebay for £200 GBP inc P+P

Have you checked your own particular lights to see if they have the yellow reflector? I see in your signature that you have a 99 model. Mine is a 2000 and just requires the bulb change. I believe even later models have the indicator encased in a round enclosure. That would make three different setups for the same shape A6 (?)
