Is there anywhere that sells aftermarket 2.8 stuff? I am mostly looking for an exhaust system (no honda setups that look like coffee cans), something along the idea of the RS6 system and since it is an '01 I would need a replacement peice for the rear bumper w/ the exhaust cut-outs (I don't have parking assist, so thats no worry)

 

Try, APR (Audi Preformance Racing), Borla, Magna Flow, Mlltek all good options I still have to do mine so let me know. But if you really want to play get a supercharger.

 

No need to replace bumper -- you can cut through the valence to accomodate a new exhaust. People do it all the time. Follow the link in my signature to my registry page. Once there, look for "Stoney's Links" under the suggested reading section. You'll find discussion of doing this mod there.

I have found that Supersprint makes an exhaust system for the 2.8 A6. does anyone have experience w/ these as far as fit/performance/sound goes? I would hate to lay out that kind of money to find out that it needs major mods to fit or that it makes my A6 sound like rice rocket.

I have an ANSA exhaust on mine and it sounds deep and very nice. I also would recomend REMUS.
