Please help me with decision on A6
I have looked two Audi A6s and both them are 2004s and 2.7T.
#1. 44K miles. With S-Line package, no Navigation. Black on Black. Looks ok. Asking $24000
#2. 37.5K miles. With Premium/Winter Package, no Navigation. Black on Tan. Looks Excellent. Asjing $23000
My problem is that I am not too sure what else is included in Sports package, other than sports suspension, brakes, and front seats. The dealers are vague about the information. I do know that Premium package comes with HID, electric shades for rear, but thats about it. Also in #2. the alloys are 17 inches, but different than most of the A6s I have seen. The dealer says it is the company BBS alloys. I am not to sure if that is an aftermarket fitment, or they came from Audi as a premium package.
Do you think that additional mileage, cost is justified for Sports package. Also, do you know for how much these cars were sold in market in NA in 2004, with or without sports package/premium package??
So which one will you buy?

Sounds like you like #2 better. I thought all 2.7's were S-lines for 2004. Look at them and you should be able to see the ride height difference from sport susp. to non sport model. If #2 has those BBS wheels factory, I'm betting it also has the s-line sports package as well. Don't they have the factory window sticker with the manual and warranty booklets?
Hey, thanks for the reply. Well, see the problem is that I am confused, because there are cars available in the market with "S-Line", "Premium Package", and "Sports Package". The #2 just says Premium, and looks slightly higher than the S-line. S-line comes with 9spoke alloys, whereas the one on premium has a this alloy wheel.
The S-line package has the S4 style wheels. Those are the thin spoke 9-spoke wheels. Also comes with the RS6 style rear wing. The second car is a SPORT model, meaning 20mm lower suspension, bigger sway bars, and BBS rims. Those rims are factory Audi and came with the car. They are a lightweight rim, and really look good on the car. I have them myself. Both cars sound good. Are these from Audi dealerships? Are they certified? If they are certified than that makes them much better. Otherwise get a COMPLETE inspection at an audi dealer prior to purchasing either. I have seen alot of issues on cars with as low as 30k on them that needs to be addressed. Also, where are you from?
Thanks a lot guys for your views and help. Finally, I bought my first Audi. Yes, it's an A6. CPO, Winter, Premium, S-Line, and Navigation. However, the navigation is not the RNS-E, but the one that was available in NA. The display is the one on the display center between the tacometer and rpm. I haven't used it much, but sure looks tedious to program and save the addresses.
Any thoughts?
Btw, its black on platinum.
