Default Possibly buying a 2000 A6 w/ 120K

I don't know a whole lot about these cars, so I thought I'd get your collective opinion. 120,000 miles, timing belt was supposedly done around 100K but no records. If the service was done at a dealership, does Audi keep records? Would they look it up for me if I called?

That said, I'm looking for a car that I'm not going to have to dump a lot of money into aside from normal maintenance. How likely am I to get this vehicle to 200K without paying as much as I bought the car for in maintenance?

Is there anything specific I should look for when I go to look at it this afternoon?

The dealership would have records. Frankly, any vehicle with 120k miles is a risk, not just Audi. But with Audi you have the added fun of some potentially very expensive repairs. But there are some high mileage owners on here that have had relatively few probems (I'm at 178k). A real good inspection and a low price that lets you keep $2k in the bank for unexpected repairs is your best bet. If you're shooting your wad to buy it...don't.
