I recently purchased a 2006 A6 Avant. When attempting to adjust the passenger side mirror, the mirror will only move vertically (up or down). It does not move horizontally (side to side).

Does anyone have any experience with a similar problem? I'm not a mechanic or an electrician ... so I'm not sure if the problem is in the switch or in the mirror motor.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!
