I was just thanking auditech79 for his assistance. I realize that there are three or four people that give good technical info on this site and I didn't mean to leave them out. Many times we get great information from another AUDI Guy or Gal and don't thank them. I quess I'm getting sappy in my old age but I appreciate the assistance they give to us.
I totally agree. Especially, auditech79 has contributed a lot in A6 section. I have learned a great deal about Audis from him. Thanks auditech79, your help is always appreciated.

NH guy -Though, I still have to learn the art of seducing the women from you

It would be the blind leading the blind. -- butthe contact at the end of the fingers would be interesting as long as we don't get burnt.

Good news on the roof --once the battery was charged (I had theroof fuse out during the charge) everything returned to normal.

first I selected closed and then replaced the fuse. When I turned on the ignition the roof closed. JUST LIKE MAGIC!!

I learned that the controller worksby measuring the resistance from the pot. I suspect that when the voltage is low the resistance reading is incorrect so it decides to open the roof. Once there is enough charge in the battery and the fuse has been pulled so it resets things return to normal. (OK OK not normal - after all it is an AUDI)
