Power Steering Failed
I checked ebay and they didn't have any for the 2.7 s line. But the labor was 500 dollars anyways. But I think the shop tried playing me on the pump. It drove just fine until the hose failed, and I didn't drive anwywhere when it leaked. I dunno, for now I will fix the hosing and that is it, and get a second opinion on the pump.

its pretty easy to change. take bumper off, put carrier into service position or swing to the side if you want to take the coolant hoses off, then take the accessory belt off and take off the old pump and put the new one in, then put everything back together... shouldn't take more than 2-3hours if your really slow.
its very easy, i did mine. it took me 3 hours of really lazy work. take bumper off, put carrier into service position (make sure you use a paint marker to mark all the positions of the bolts on the carrier and front bumper support thingy), take the accessory belt off the power steering roller (which is the one right under the throttle body) by turning the tensioner (you dont need to take it out, if you do mark its direction of rotation), the 2 bipipes off, and the throttle body boot and the 3 bolts on the power steering roller, remove it too. then you can remove the 3 allen bolts holding the power steering pump bracket to the engine and the 2 hoses connected to the pump (you will need a new hose clamp for one) (the one which you need to unscrew with a big socket has 2 aluminum washers which you can replace with new ones, make sure you dont lose them if your not putting in new ones, I almost did, but I saw it drop). then take the pump and seperate it from its bracket (3 bolts) and install a new pump, make sure you put PS fluid in the new pump. I use automatic transmission fluid... then reinstall everything (before you put the belt back on turn the pump a couple of times (i'm not really sure which way its supposed to turn so i just turned it in both directions like 10 turns, and you will also need to add some more power steering fluid because it will leak from the rubber hose when you disconnect it from the pump). easy, you cant really mess anything up. also if you hear a whine when you turn the steering wheel to the ends, you need to bleed the air out, to do it you have to lift both front wheels off the ground and turn the steering wheel by hand with the engine off like 10-20 times, i think you should have the cap off the power steering reservoir....

Alright, honestly does not sound too bad. I just got a call from the shop that was working on it the other day. They replaced the bad hoses, and after that the pump "worked just fine" But it is still going to cost me 500 dollars for this. Next time I find out that my warranty does not cover a certain part i'm doing it myself.
yea everyone complains that its difficult to work on an Audi. But if you're patient, nothing is really difficult on it. Just do research online and take your time when you work on your car. the thing with taking my car to a shop, they fix 1 thing but mess up 2 others. They never torque bolts to spec and they use pry bars and shortcuts to do simple stuff.
