power steering fluid replace, and other things...
Ok there's a couple things i need to do to my car, thought i'd post it all in one thread. 1st) how do i replace the vacuum hoses? what do they look like? where can i get replacements? what size? im pretty sure i want silicon. 2nd) how do i replace my power steering fluid? 3rd) for some reason, after i replaced my fog light bulb, the fuse blew. then i replaced the fuse 3 times to have them blow out instantly after turning on the light. i believe thats a short. how do i go about finding it, and when i do, how do i fix it? i can follow directions but i still dont know much so bear with me guys. thanks in advance.
#1 - why? There are too many to do it wholesale. Do them as you need to.
#2 - why? PS fluid will last the life of the car, or at least the life of the power steering hoses.
#3 - use a piece of thick gauge wire as a jumper instead of a fuse, then follow the melting wire. WHerever it stops melting and goes cold is where the short is. Alternatively, start checking continuity to ground at every connector in the system to isolate the area where the short is, then replace that section of wire.

1) ok well i think i have an intake vacuum leak, cause i hear a whine coming from the right side where the intake is when i have it at higher throttle/higher rpm. what size do i need for that and where do i find them?
2) when i changed the oil the guy told me my ps fluid had to be changed because it has no viscosity anymore, and now its starting to groan a little when i turn the wheel lock to lock. i have to change my control arms, so it may be related.
3) i have no idea what youre talking about. i have no knowledge at all about electronics and such. please dumb that down for me and give me more specific instructions lol.

1. Vacuum diagram: Refer to this diagram.

2. Power steering fluid flush: See this website

3. Electrical short: No easy way to check it. You just have to trace the line. Probably start from the fog light assemly. Considering the fuse blew after the bulb replacement, I would think that you should check the wiring at the bulb.
