Hello everybody, I'm having issues with my power steering when the car is stopped or moving really slow it's almost impossible to steer, however when I'm driving the steering is fine, I'm thinking it might be the power steering pump going bad but I don't know if that's the case, the power steering fluid is fine I checked it already and I don't see any change in it's level since I check it almost everyday. Did any of you have this problem? Do you think it's the pump or would you send me tolook somewhere else? Also the CAR is a 99 A6 Quattro. There is this weird "hissing" sound when I'm driving sometimes I though it was because of my secondaryair pump going bad but today I noticed that the sound stops as soon as I start steering the car and it starts back again once I'm not steering anymore. Slip the car into neutral and get the engine revs up a bit. If steering improves as the engine revs up then you have a bad pump.
