problems with 02 A6 3.0
I owned the Audi since novemember of last year, i bought the car with 130xxx miles on it it currently has 181xxx miles on it since i have bought the only thing i have changed were the spark plugs, oil filter, oil, air and cabin filter. also one of the plastic pumps that goes to the radiator that leaked.
Lately i have notice that when i turn the vehicle on after awhile of not using (usually overnight) it hesitates to turn on or when it is on it feels like the car is dying out, i accelerate the car about to get it going but it does not accelerate it seems to lag, finally when i put it in drive the problem still continues until i accelerate into higher speeds. does anyone have any idea on what i need to do? fuel cleaner, change the fuel filter? also the car has no previous maintenance history so i am kind of SOL there as well since i don't know what needs replace and such

Where to begin. I would certainly entertain replacing the fuel filter, brake fluid, and differential fluid as general maintenance. I would be more concerned about the timing belt, since it should be changed every 75-90k miles and it is due. If it's throwing codes or not starting, it might be easier to troubleshoot. But general sluggishness in high mileage car may not be unusual. My 2.7T does not feel as fast at 190k as it did when I chipped it at 75k. Not sure if the turbos are going, it is wearing out, or I am just used to it.

i will for sure get that done sometime this weekend then see if it makes a difference. I know the performance of the car won't be the same as when i got it but it seems weird that when i turn it on it seems like it wants to die out on me, kinda freaks me out a little. As far as changing the differential oil, fuel filter and the other small stuff i think i might be able to do that myself, the timing i will take it to my mechanic to get that fixed right away hopefully that does the trick!

also what about doing a transmission flush?
This website has a flush kit i am hesitant since i do not know if it is compatible with my car

Maybe the coilpack problem ... Audi has it in recall, free.
ZF Transmission has to be serviced by Audi specialized garage. They use VAG-COM to monitor temperature during steps and it is 3 hrs job in repalcing fluid and filter.
