problems with 2.7T
I have had some issues with burning oil smell in the cabin. Took it the dealership. They replaced the valvecover gasket. I still smell oilten days later.
I have a clicking or rubbing sound coming from the driverside front tire or suspension area when I turn the wheel from a stopped position. WhenI come to stop sign and I turn wheel just before completing the stop. When I start to accelerate and complete the turnI hear and feel this sensation.
Also does this car tend to Idle a little ruff and when idling is the engine loud.
I need help and guidance from the guru's of Audi Nation.
My baby is 04 A6 2.7T with 34,000 miles

RE: problems with 2.7T
I have the same smell of oil in my new-to-me 2003 2.7T. I had kind of assumed that the smell was the spray the dealer puts on the engine to make it look pretty burning off, but it's been a bit too long and I'd like to know if anyone else that's had this has found a solution.

My guess on the oil is the cam & cam tensioner seals. You will NOT like the dealers price to replace them.
The rough idle is from a boost leak, my guess is the DV's & TBB.
The click could be a bad CV joint, or worn suspension arms, both you should fix asap, before it leaves you stranded.
Also, find a good local independent, the dealer is going to RAPE you on these fixes!
